VR Vitalis Pro
VR Vitalis Pro is a mobile app that turns a smartphone into a personal guide for virtual-reality exercise, designed primarily for seniors but intuitive enough for all age groups.
Assignment
- Complete design and development of a mobile solution for iOS and Android using React Native and Expo
- Design of the database, architecture and technology stack with a strong emphasis on performance even on low-end devices
- Senior-friendly UI/UX with large typography, high contrast, large touch targets and fuzzy search tolerant of typos
- A full offline mode with automatic synchronisation once connectivity is restored
- Cross-platform Bluetooth pairing between the phone and different VR headset types, plus real-time communication over WebSockets via Socket.IO
- Multi-role access for seniors, doctors who can recommend and adjust exercise plans, and family members with a read-only overview
- Compliance with GDPR and NIS2, encryption of sensitive medical data, biometrics or PIN, and detection of rooted or jailbroken devices using Jail-Monkey
- International readiness with full Czech and English i18n support
Results
- Smooth performance even on older and cheaper hardware thanks to Reanimated 4, FlashList, TanStack Query and Zustand
- Secure passwordless login via phone number and PIN with tokens stored in the OS keychain using Expo Secure Store
- Encrypted local storage with MMKV and AES-256 plus persisted navigation state, allowing users to continue where they left off after restart
- Connection of three roles, senior, doctor and family, within one application with real impact on home rehabilitation outcomes
- Strict TypeScript, unit tests in Jest and continuous stability monitoring in Sentry, with backend and database in AWS prepared for scaling
